6 Classic Halloween Party Snacks for Kids

Whether your child, niece, nephew, or grandchild has a Halloween party planned at school or home, one thing is definite. Halloween party snacks are on the menu!

Over the years I’ve hosted many Halloween parties at my home and I know the snack table is the popular hangout. After you’ve figured out cute costumes and plan a pumpkin painting activity, fill the snack table with a few of these classic (and tasty!) Halloween party snacks for kids.

  1. Popcorn Balls: These chewy, sticky treats remind me of trick-or-treating as a child. Try using orange food coloring and a small piece of green gummy worm to give these snacks a seasonal pumpkin-inspired makeover.
  2. Chocolate Coins: Whenever these shiny, foil-wrapped goodies were dropped in my trick-or-treat bag, I thought they were real coins. But thankfully they were even better than money; They were filled with chocolate! Serve chocolate coins in this adorable Halloween Ruffle Top Bowl.
  3. Miniature Suckers: There’s nothing cooler than scaring your friends with a blue tongue or extra red lips, thanks to the sweet goodness of miniature suckers. Offer a variety of flavors, including some filled with bubble gum, to keep all the party guests happy!
  4. Wax Candy: Do you remember those little wax soda bottles filled with a sweet, syrupy juice? After biting off the top and drinking the liquid, you could chew the flavorful wax much like gum. Why not introduce your little one to these classic candies this Halloween?
  5. Edible Jewelry: As a young girl who loved playing dress up, I’d get extremely excited to see a colorful candy bracelet or necklace on Halloween. I’d wear them day and night and gradually bite off pieces of candy throughout the day. Do you also remember these fashionable candies?
  6. Caramel Apples: Sure they’re messy and hard to handle, but caramel apples are a must for any Halloween party. Embellish the treats with chopped nuts, colorful sprinkles, or crushed cookies to make them irresistible.
