You’ve wrapped every gift with fabulous wrapping paper, and trimmed each with ribbon. Now, you’re staring at a few rogue scraps wondering what to do with leftover wrapping paper. Don’t throw it out! Leftover gift wrap has plenty of creative uses.

Paper Chains and Baubles– Decorate your tree, your mantle, staircase or any other place you can think of with paper chains. Even use it as a Christmas countdown!

Line your dresser drawers – With all the pretty paper leftover from the holidays, your drawers will look amazing lined with the colors of the season.

Make Origami Wrapping Paper Ornaments– Why not use that leftover wrapping paper to make more gifts. You can even use these as gift tags and table decorations.

Make Bunting or Garland – Use a template to create festive bunting to decorate a space in your home for the holidays. It’s just one more way to inexpensively add a little holiday cheer

Scrapbooking with your Scraps – Take all of the remnants and use them for your scrapbooking or card making projects.

Use it as gift filler. Run it through your shredder and voila’ – instant gift confetti with a holiday theme.

Let the kids make paper bead jewelry– The kids will have some time on their hands, why not give them a creative activity to stay busy?

Put those extra cardboard boxes to use. Cover them with your leftover wrapping paper, and use them around the house for decorative storage.

Make bags – as seen here on the Megan Nielsen Design Diary. These bags make great ways to gift small items, deliver home baked goods or even as festive lunch sacks.

Make tile coasters– All you need is cheap tiles, leftover wrapping paper and mod podge. These coasters are great to have around for the holiday season, and equally great to give as gifts. Go on, get creative!
